The Alpine Zoo in Innsbruck is the highest in Europe, perched at 727 metres above sea level. The zoo is home to more than 2000 animals and 150 different species. Come and discover the fauna of the Alps!

 

It is, however, the historical and modern depiction of fauna in the Alpine area that makes this zoo so unique. The animals and birds on view in the enclosures, aviaries, aquaria and open-air areas combine to make up an unparalleled collection of fauna from the European Alpine area.
