High Above the Gschnitz Valley and Milling Village
In summer
The motto: Nature without end! The Alpine village of Gschnitz is a unique community nestled in a ring of majestic peaks and massive glaciers projecting into the sky and surrounded by a nature preserve. Meadows overflowing with wildflowers, pure mountain air and crystal-clear streams grace every hike along the numerous well-marked hiking trails. There is something on offer for everyone: Whether a peaceful stroll, a hike to Alpine mountain huts, or a mountain trek to lofty summit peaks. In this "Mühlendorf", where the traditional Austrian rural culture is maintained even today, visitors walk in footsteps from the distant past. To make sure the knowledge passed down by our ancestors won't disappear forever, this local jewel was created at the end of the valley.

In winter
The cold season brings cross-country skiers and hikers to Gschnitz's winter paradise. The panorama cross-country trail offers 18 kilometres of both classic and skating tracks, with a parallel walking path – a great way to enjoy the day's first rays of sunshine. The lifts at Bergeralm Ski Arena are only a stone's throw away, easily reached with the ski bus. And guests can also enjoy Tyrolean evening gatherings, slide shows, guided village walks, and much more. Gschnitz – a place to relax and enjoy!
