The Alpine Zoo in Innsbruck is the highest located in Europe (727 m)! More than 2000 animals of 150 different species invite you to enjoy an extremely eventful visit to the animal world in the Alps. What is special about this “Alpine Zoo” is the portrayal of Alpine life forms in historic and modern times. The ALPENZOO, as a “themed zoo”, is the only one of its kind worldwide, which, in its enclosure facilities and bird aviaries, in its aquarium and the open terrariums, presents such a complete collection of animals of the European Alpine region. Children’s birthday celebrations for children of 5 years or more are available on request. Open in the winter months until 5pm.
