Unique - you'll find two mountaineering villages of the Austrian Alpine Club in our holiday region between Innsbruck and Brenner!

The localities associated in the Mountaineering Village initiative are pioneers in Alpinism in their respective regions. That’s why the mountains and mountain climbing rank very high in the cultural identity of local residents and visitors. Here, awareness of the necessary harmony between nature and humans is still alive and natural boundaries are respected.

Less, yet better, that’s the motto!

Therefore in a very special way, the mountaineering villages of the Alpine association are in line with the goals of the Alpine convention, which strives for sustainable development throughout the Alpine region.

From a comfortable circular walk to a summit victory, experience the calm of the mountains in two undisturbed, very pristine side valleys of the Wipptal, where the landscape is strongly influenced by mountain agriculture.
