State-certified mountain guides may lead and accompany people on mountain and ski tours (e.g. via ferrata, climbing, high altitude, alpine, ski, ice climbing tours, etc.).
In contrast to a mountain guide, a mountain hiking guide may only lead tours that have a maximum of red-marked paths and a maximum of moderately difficult, pathless terrain.
