ARRIVAL & MOBILITY
Whether you arrive by car, train or plane - the Wipptal is ideally connected thanks to good transport links. This means you can get to your vacation destination in Tyrol quickly and easily. And you can even take your car on vacation here, as the guest card includes a ticket for trains and buses throughout the region.
A good start to your vacation begins with a relaxed journey. The Wipptal can be reached by car via the Brenner highway or the Brenner road from Innsbruck or Brenner in 15 minutes. The climate-friendly train journey from there to Matrei or Steinach doesn't take much longer - and the ticket for this journey and all bus lines to the mountain valleys is already included in the guest card as an "arrival voucher". The arrival voucher is available on request from the accommodation in advance. Innsbruck is very easy to reach by train from all over Europe.
We recommend leaving your car at home and using the extensive public transport network in the Wipptal vacation region. The S-Bahn runs in the main valley between Innsbruck and Brenner and the regional bus takes you comfortably to all mountain valleys. The guest card is your ticket for public transport in the entire Wipptal. For example, you can travel cheaply and sustainably to Innsbruck for sightseeing.
Guest card = ticket
The guest card is your ticket for local public transport in the Wipptal Valley. Simply show it when boarding the bus or train and explore the region free of charge. You can get the guest card directly from your host at no extra charge.

Arrival by car
General information: all highways in Austria require a toll sticker.
From Innsbruck to Wipptal you can either take the Brenner highway A13 (exit Matrei/Steinach) in approx. 10 to 20 minutes or the Brenner federal highway B 182 (exit Innsbruck Süd) in approx. 20 - 30 minutes. To use the Brenner highway (A13), an additional toll must be paid from Innsbruck Süd. The toll card is valid for 24 hours.
Luegbrücke construction site:
Don't worry, you can get to the Wipptal without any problems. During the summer months from mid-May to October 5, the single lane on the Luegbrücke bridge will be closed.
The Luegbrücke bridge is located approx. 15 km after the Steinach/Matrei exit. We recommend taking a look at the Asfinag webcam before you arrive: https: //www.asfinag.at/luegbruecke
In case of heavy traffic or traffic jams, we recommend that our guests leave the highway at Innsbruck Süd or at the Schönberg/Stubaital exit and continue on the Brenner Bundesstraße B 182. In this case, please have your booking confirmation ready for any checks.
