In the Gschnitztal valley, a family-friendly and varied via f errata leads to the little pilgrimage church of St. Magdalena with a snack station at 1,661 m. In the climbing paradise of the Stafflacher Wand in the mountaineering village of St. Jodok you will find the challenging Peter Kofler via ferrata (difficulty B-C). Those who are not afraid of a slightly longer route to the start can immerse themselves in the alpine scenery around the Innsbrucker Hütte on the Ilmspitze via ferrata. Either way - there is something for everyone!
Equipment rental
You can hire via ferrata sets and climbing helmets at the TVB information office in Steinach during opening hours (Mon - Fri 08:30 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 17:00) or at basecamp Matrei.
