The Wipptal at a glance
For all those who are not yet familiar with our region: On the one hand, the Wipptal is the entire region between Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass; on the other hand, it also refers to the main valley running from north to south along the Sill with the villages of Matrei, Steinach and Gries . Our five mountain valleys then branch off from this to the east and west: the Navistal, the Gschnitztal, the Schmirntal, the Valsertal and the Obernbergtal.
