The Wipptal and its five mountain valleys
That's all I need!
No matter what you're looking for, your search is sure to come to an end in the Wipptal. We have everything you really need.
The Wipptal comprises five mountain valleys - a large area with plenty of untouched nature. However, there is not much going on here, as you are on the quiet side of the Stubai and Zillertal Alps. The Wipptal is the right place for you if you prefer a cozy, small mountain hut or refuge to a crowded apres-ski bar, if you like hiking on secluded paths until your thoughts take their own path or if you just want to sit on a bench and enjoy the view in complete peace and quiet. Children play with everything nature has to offer. In summer, stones, cones and small streams are their playground and in winter, the white snow is their playground.
Our valleys
For all those who are not yet familiar with our region: On the one hand, the Wipptal is the entire region between Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass; on the other hand, it also refers to the main valley running from north to south along the Sill with the villages of Matrei, Steinach and Gries . Our five mountain valleys then branch off from this to the east and west: the Navistal, the Gschnitztal, the Schmirntal, the Valsertal and the Obernbergtal.
