TOBOGGANING

If you prefer winter sports away from the slopes, you'll get your money's worth in the Wipptal vacation region. Here, there are 10 toboggan runs with refreshment stops on the mountain or in the valley to warm up. Some of the runs are floodlit at night so that the tobogganing fun can continue in the evening.

In glorious sunshine or under a starry sky, whether with children, friends or just the two of you - tobogganing is fun for everyone in the wintry natural landscape. In the Wipptal in Tyrol, there are a total of 10 toboggan runs spread across all the mountain valleys. The longest of the natural toboggan runs is over 3 kilometers long at Maria Waldrast in Matrei. If you can't get enough of tobogganing fun, the Bergeralm ski area ski area in Steinach. Here you can take the gondola up in comfort and whizz down the toboggan run as often as you like. There is also a toboggan rental service at both toboggan runs.

The best thing to do is to take a look at all the toboggan runs on our interactive map and then decide for yourself where your winter fun should start. Because the runs in Navis, Schmirn, Vals, Nösslach and Obernberg also make you want to have fun tobogganing in the snow. There are two different levels of difficulty in the region (easy and medium). We recommend that everyone, but especially sporty tobogganists and children, wear a helmet on the descent!
