DECLARATION ON ACCESSIBILITY

The Wipptal Tourist Board endeavors to ensure that its website complies with § 14b of the Tyrolean Anti-Discrimination Act 2005 implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1). The accessibility statement applies to the website www.wipptal.at.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website predominantly has conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Web - WCAG 2.1". The following content is not compatible with the applicable harmonized European standard "European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08)".

Non-accessible content

a) Incompatibility with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102

For some elements, the contrast between text and background is too low, which is why the requirements (WCAG 1.4.3. Contrast minimum) cannot be fully met. This concerns text links on a gray background, but these elements are rarely used. As these are the colors of the corporate design of the Wipptal Tourist Board, no change is planned here until the next revision.

On the pages with integrated Feratel TOSC5 widgets, there are a large number of reported problems. A quick check shows that the basic functionalities are perfectly fine (e.g. navigation via keyboard), but further optimization is recommended. As this is an external system and therefore cannot be adapted by the user, a suggestion is passed on to Feratel. This mainly concerns the accommodation search, events and brochure ordering.

b) Disproportionate burden

Our videos on the site (e.g. homepage) do not have audio and are not audio-described. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) is not met. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.

c) The contents do not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

Pdf documents and Word documents are not barrier-free. The pdf documents are not tagged and are not or not sufficiently recognized by screen reader users and can therefore only be used to a limited extent.

Creation - Declaration on accessibility
