Crags, multi-pitch routes, alpine classics, and dry tooling: The Wipptal valley in Tyrol offers a wide variety of climbing options for beginners, families, climbing courses, and experienced sport climbers.

The Wipptal Valley in Tyrol offers first-class climbing routes for climbers of all skill levels: from beginner-friendly climbing areas to alpine multi-pitch routes and bouldering areas. Home to two Tyrolean mountaineering villages—St. Jodok, Schmirn- & Valsertal, and Gschnitztal—the region is one of the most diverse climbing destinations in the Stubai and Zillertal Alps.

The centerpiece is the Stafflacher Wand near St. Jodok: a climbing garden, multi-pitch routes, a via ferrata (B-C), and a dry-tooling area—all just a 15-minute walk from the train station. In the Valsertal valley, over 100 routes and alpine classics like the Fußstein North Face await you. In Obernberg and the Gschnitztal valley, additional climbing gardens and family-friendly via ferratas invite you to explore.
