The Wipptal Valley is arguably one of the most beautiful places for cross-country skiing in Tyrol—and it’s still almost an insider’s secret. The mountaineering village of Gschnitztal is a hotspot for cross-country skiing. There are approximately 40 kilometers of trails here, all of which have been awarded the Tyrol Province’s seal of quality.
All of the perfectly groomed cross-country trails in the Wipptal Valley are free!
"From your room straight to the cross-country ski trail" - this is the motto of accommodation providers who are "cross-country skiing specialists" and offer services tailored to cross-country skiers. These include, for example, a ski depot or drying room for cross-country skiing equipment and a location right next to a cross-country ski trail. So you don't lose any time and can enjoy the trails to the full, without stress and hectic.
If you don't have any cross-country skiing gear yet or would like to take a lesson, you'll find the right option at the Bergeralm Ski School.
