Archery on the 3D course - everyday life off, focus on

Shared experiences bring people together - especially those outside their own comfort zone. Together with my colleagues from the Wipptal tourism association, we embarked on a little adventure: Archery on the 3D course of the Wipptal archery club. What sounds unspectacular at first turned out to be a surprisingly intense experience.

When we arrived at the club hut, we were warmly welcomed by Andreas and Elmar. Bows and arrows were already ready and after a short theoretical briefing, the first test arrows were already flying. It soon became clear that archery requires skill, precision and a firm grip - and that's exactly what makes it so appealing.

The lovingly designed course leads along varied paths through nature, past meadows, forests and the shimmering turquoise Sill. You will encounter chamois, wild boar & co. at 39 3D target stations designed to be true to nature. You move through the landscape together, but it's up to each individual to take the shot. This combination of team spirit and individual challenge makes archery a very special experience.

Try it out for yourself

If you fancy immersing yourself in the world of archery, there are several opportunities in the Wipptal Valley:

  • With your own bow, you can walk the course independently at any time - simply sign in, follow the rules, drop in your contribution and off you go.
  • Or you can take part in a guided tour with an experienced archer. This provides valuable tips and an introduction to the basics - without the need for a hunting license.
  • Booking via the TVB Wipptal weekly program is also possible.

About the association

The Wipptaler Bogensport Club has created this special offer in our region with a great deal of commitment. In recent years, archery has become increasingly popular - more and more beginners, including many schoolchildren and young people, are finding their way to the club. As a result, archery in the Wipptal is increasingly establishing itself as a sport that inspires young and experienced archers alike. All archers - and especially those who want to become one - are cordially invited to visit the Wipptal BSC on the grounds around Trautson Castle. Come along and give it a try!
