Trail Running - Experience
Experience the mountains in their wildest form
A week filled with mountains, exercise, and nature: trail running along ridgelines, technical training, and enjoying Tyrolean mountain cuisine. During this trail running week in the Wipptal, we combine challenging alpine trails with adventure, relaxation, and rejuvenation. You’ll learn to run more efficiently uphill and downhill, and discover the most beautiful valleys and peaks of the Wipptal.
After intense days in the mountains, ice baths, physiotherapy exercises, and yoga sessions provide the perfect balance.
Highlights
- Accompaniment by ASTA and BSPA certified trail running guides
- Additional support from a certified physical therapist, a nutrition expert, and a yoga coach
- Enjoy an unspoiled alpine region, far away from mass tourism
Our experts:
Prerequisites:
The trail running training week is ideal for both beginners and advanced runners.
Beginners: You run regularly (e.g., 10–15 km), are athletic and adventurous, but have little or no experience with trails or mountains. You want to get to know trail running in the Alps in an accessible way:
- 10–20 miles per day
- Slow pace, lots of explanation and guidance
- Focus on experience, development, and safety
- Ideal as a first mountain trail experience
Advanced: You already have experience with longer endurance runs or have participated in trail runs in Germany, the Netherlands, or Belgium. You run regularly, are fit, accustomed to hilly terrain, and are looking for varied challenges.
- 15–25 km per day
- More technical routes and greater elevation gain (1000 m+)
- Challenging trails that can lead to mountain peaks
- Knowledge of materials and basic mountain techniques available
