GRIES AM BRENNER

The last Tyrolean municipality before the Brenner Pass and therefore before the Italian border is Gries am Brenner. Gries is situated at an altitude of 1,165 meters and offers all nature lovers a central starting point to the mountain valleys of the Wipptal.

The natural landscape of Gries am Brenner in Tyrol is perfect for excursions and mountain and mountain bike tours in the border region . Mountain enthusiasts, for example, will find a fantastic view of North and South Tyrol on the Kraxentrager.
The Nösslach high plateau is particularly sunny and a central link between the mountains of Steinach and Obernberg. The area with its many meadows and larch forests is part of a nature reserve and ideal for beautiful hikes in the Wipptal mountains. Particularly interesting for those with a thirst for knowledge is the mine trail, which is easily accessible from the Nösslachhütte.
In winter, the Nösslachhütte and Sattelberg toboggan runs provide adrenaline kicks and plenty of winter fun. The Sattelberg, Gries am Brenner's local mountain, is also particularly well-known as a ski touring area. It is perfect for a first ski tour to the hut, but also for advanced skiers who want to climb a summit cross. Whether during the day or as a beautiful moonlight tour, whether you are a deep-snow pro or prefer a descent on the groomed downhill area - there are perfect conditions for all ski tourers.
