A Boundless Cultural Landscape
Background
The starting point for this project lies in the close cultural ties between North Tyrol and South Tyrol. The two regions north and south of the Brenner border have historically been closely linked and share a common understanding of language, culture, and living in harmony with the surrounding natural and cultural landscape.
Sterzing|Pfitsch|Freienfeld, with its urban/alpine character, and the northern Wipptal, with its rural/alpine culture, overlap and complement each other in many ways.
Project details
The project involves the production of video footage and the final editing of promotional videos and short clips that highlight the cultural characteristics of both regions. The focus is, on the one hand, on showcasing the urban culture of the city of Sterzing and the municipalities of Pfitsch and Freienfeld, and, on the other hand, on the rural and alpine cultural landscapes of both regions. By selecting appropriate motifs and perspectives, the aim is to convey a comprehensive picture of the regions’ cultural diversity. Particular emphasis should be placed on the aspects that connect and complement one another.
The specific scope of the project includes:
- Joint development of a unified concept (emphasizing both common and complementary themes)
- Hiring an agency that works for both project partners to effectively leverage synergies
- Highlighting unifying and complementary cultural aspects in urban, rural, and alpine environments
- Video content creation and post-production (promotional videos, short clips, Reels)
Project Objectives
The project aims to showcase a shared and complementary culture that highlights the unique characteristics and strengths of both regions. Through the joint production and distribution of the resulting video material, the project partners seek to raise the profile of this cross-border and unifying culture. Furthermore, the project aims to increase interest in tourism and strengthen cross-border cultural cooperation.
