Unlimited sustainability communication concept

Goals

For the Ratschings Tourismus Genossenschaft (LEAD partner), the priority goal is to communicate sustainability to the outside world and to focus on certain aspects of sustainability (e.g. mobility, public transport possible) in order to position the tourist area as an outstanding sustainable tourist destination.

The TVB Wipptal (project partner) has set itself the goal of operationally addressing the topic of transformation in tourism offerings and communication based on its sustainability strategy. This is not just about positioning itself on the market as a sustainable destination, but also about developing a pilot project: Transforming tourism offerings and communication in terms of sustainability and in the face of climate change.

 

Results

Communication and marketing measures:

  • Development of a stringent communication concept to present the entire sustainability spectrum of the region (providers, products, projects).
  • Preparation of content for cross-channel communication (website, social media, print).
  • Content production (photo, video, text) on selected sustainable topics.
  • Implementation of targeted focus campaigns on existing communication channels.

 

Implementation of results from the lighthouse project "Climate Impact Adaptation Strategy Wipptal" and integration of the four transformation measures into the new project:

  • Information transformation: e.g. preparation of tour information for different seasons.
  • Offer transformation: development of new offers independent of snow (e.g. snowshoe tours instead of ski tours).
  • Infrastructure communication: e.g. use of drytooling as a climate-friendly training alternative.
  • Seasonal transformation: e.g. adjustment of opening hours due to climatic changes.

 

Cooperative communication with Ratschings: development of a joint brochure for project communication.
