STEINACH AM BRENNER

Steinach am Brenner lies in the middle of the Wipptal valley at an altitude of almost 1,050 meters. The market town is located 26 km south of the provincial capital of Innsbruck in Tyrol and is one of the main towns in the Wipptal vacation region.

Thanks to its central location and good public transport connections , Steinach is an ideal starting point for an active vacation in the Tyrolean mountains in summer and winter. There are good bus connections to all mountain valleys in the upper Wipptal as well as train connections to Innsbruck and Brenner.
The municipality of Steinach also has an outdoor swimming pool where you can relax and cool off on hot summer days. There is also a tennis and beach volleyball court as well as an indoor ice rink. The BBT information center "Tunnel Worlds" invites young and old explorers and experts to experience and explore the exciting world of the construction of the Brenner Base Tunnel. For the little ones, the JUFA Hotel has the largest free indoor wooden playground in Tyrol.

One of the most popular excursion destinations in Steinach is the Bergeralm: unique skiing and tobogganing fun in winter by day and night, as well as a hiking area and the " Bärenbachl" water and adventure worldin summer.

On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings, night is turned into day: you can really enjoy night skiing on over 9 km of floodlit pistes.
