Yoga for body & mind in the mountain scenery of the Wipptal
Why is yoga so good for balancing out our hectic everyday lives?
In a world that seems to be spinning ever faster and in which the demands on us are increasing, we long for a moment of peace and balance. Yoga offers us exactly that.
Physical and mental balance: Yoga is a proven method of harmonizing body and mind. The various asanas (physical exercises) promote flexibility, strength and endurance, while the meditation techniques support inner peace and mental clarity. This holistic approach helps us to get a better grip on our hectic everyday lives.
Yoga promotes mindfulness and self-confidence. Through conscious breathing, we focus entirely on ourselves and on the moment.
Digital devices are increasingly dominating our everyday lives. Yoga allows us to take a beneficial break from screens and social media. This distance helps to calm the mind and focus attention on the essentials.
Petra Kargruber Gartner, our yogini:
Petra is a deeply rooted Tyrolean with a constant yearning for other countries and cultures. She is active in many areas, as long as they serve the purpose of balance. She would like to give us the tools to do something good for ourselves and to leave everyday life behind us again and again. Empathy, movement and creativity can be wonderfully combined, and here are a few examples from her practice:
Yoga: in yoga practice, we bring our body, mind and soul into harmony. We connect with ourselves. Just as we live in our body, we also live in our mind. And vice versa.
Singing bowls: Blockages in the body are released through vibrations. The sound touches the soul, self-healing is activated.
Breathing: being with yourself/your center: concentrated, focused, energized
Why is yoga so important to us?
The healthy.region Wipptal initiative was launched in 2021. The focus of this project is on the development of offers in the area of health promotion and prevention for locals and guests. Exercise under your own steam in pristine nature, healthy nutrition and relaxation are our core areas. For us, yoga belongs to the healthy.region like yin belongs to yang.
Petra was involved in this project from the very beginning. She was particularly impressed by the fact that people from all areas of the Wipptal were involved in the development and contributed their ideas and experience.
A milestone in the healthy.region project was a joint weekend for stakeholders in the Obernbergtal valley. It was impressive to see the diversity we can draw on in the Wipptal:
Ice bathing - an unforgettable experience of nature, cycling, mountain climbing, enjoyment, mental coaching and, of course, yoga and breathing.
What makes the Wipptal so special when it comes to yoga?
We offer a wide range of opportunities to find yourself. We are the region that invites you to take a break, to let silence shine through and to meet yourself. There is no status to fulfill here, there are no big distractions, there is no pressure on our guests to perform.
Petra says: "The goal of yoga is not to be perfect, but to become whole."
As part of the healthy.region, there will not only be special offers in the guest program in the coming year. Guests who want to do something more for their health during their vacation will find this in our vacation offers "Time out instead of best time" or in our activity weeks (sponsored by almost all German health insurance companies).
Tip: As part of our guest program in winter, we now also offer yoga for our guests in the Wipptal. We use the new rooms at Trautson Castle as the location for this.
