With our year-round alpine courses and training programs, we offer a new range of options for anyone who wants to explore the mountains safely and well-prepared. Whether you’re a beginner, looking to brush up on your skills, or a mountaineer seeking targeted preparation—together with our local mountain guide, we provide practical knowledge and valuable experience.

Climbing Course: "From the Gym to the Rock"

This 2-day climbing course is designed for anyone who already has experience climbing indoors and is now ready to take the leap to climbing on natural rock. The Stafflacher Wand features climbing areas with over 100 routes that are ideal for this course. The key factors for success are: low difficulty levels, excellent safety measures, and a sunny wall.
Dates: October 3–4, 2026 (individual dates for groups can be arranged at any time!)

Dry Tooling Course

Dry tooling—climbing on rock using crampons and ice axes—is the perfect activity for the off-season months of November and December. Do you want to work on your crampon and rope techniques or prepare for ice climbing and major alpine tours? Then the dry tooling course in St. Jodok is just the thing for you.

Afternoon course featuring hands-on practice in rescuing fellow skiers in the event of an avalanche. Ideal for the start of the season.

Beginner's Course - My First Ski Tour

Want to give ski touring a try? Then the one-day course “My First Ski Tour – Introduction to Ski Touring” is just right for you!
On a short ski tour (selected based on conditions), we’ll get used to the new movements and the equipment. During the ascent, the mountain guide will demonstrate how to use climbing aids correctly, what’s important for proper walking technique, and how to make kick turns.

Intensive Kick Turn Course

In this one-day ski touring course, we’ll focus on the optimal technique for kick turns.
We’ll start the day with a detailed movement analysis and instructions on how to perform an ideal kick turn. Afterward, we’ll practice and refine our technique together.

"Multi-pitch" Climbing Course

This course is specifically designed for those who want to learn the rope techniques and tips for independent multi-pitch climbing in a relaxed atmosphere. The program is tailored to each participant’s prior knowledge, existing equipment, and goals.

Via Ferrata Intensive Course

Via ferrata climbing is one of the most beautiful alpine sports. In this 1-day intensive course, you’ll learn the basics for independent via ferrata tours.

This course is ideal for our via ferrata trio.

Rope Techniques Course for High-Altitude Mountaineering

This course is intentionally held during the preseason to specifically prepare you for your dream alpine tours. The course focuses on your skills and your gear, which is why it takes place on our rock climbing terrain near the valley—so we hardly waste any time on approach hikes (as is usually the case with hut-based courses) and can concentrate on what matters most.

A Boundless Communication Concept 

The alpine courses in the Wipptal Valley are an example of how funding projects can lead to concrete initiatives for the region. The “Boundless Communication Concept” project demonstrates how the climate change adaptation strategy can be implemented in a practical way—through initiatives that promote safety, environmental awareness, and sustainable alpine tourism.
